ReadEZ Testing
We offer ReadEZ testing at our practice. It is a way of assessing if someone suffers from visual stress. The symptoms of visual stress can affect reading: words can jump around, fade or flicker, for example. Sometimes there is pattern glare, which can cause headaches and general discomfort when reading. Some migraine sufferers find that a headache can be set off by looking at patterned objects or lines of text.
The ReadEZ test measures a child's, or adult's, rate of reading and then tests whether it could be improved by the use of coloured overlays or tinted lenses. If a significant improvement is found with colour, the results show exactly which colour overlay or tinted lenses should be supplied.
